NJ Homeowners: Don’t Throw Away This Letter From the State

Have you received an ANCHOR Benefit Confirmation Letter from New Jersey?

Before you toss it, OPEN IT.

The state began sending these letters on August 10 to many qualifying NJ residents, and for eligible homeowners, the 2025 ANCHOR benefit may be worth $1,000 or $1,500, depending on income.

Here is what you need to know:

🏠 Many eligible homeowners under 65 may have their ANCHOR application automatically filed on September 15.

💰 If you need to change your banking information or want a paper check, you may need to take action before September 15.

📅 The final application deadline for 2025 property tax relief is November 2, 2026.

👵 Homeowners 65 and older generally need to complete the PAS 1 application themselves rather than relying on automatic filing.

And please share this with your parents, grandparents and longtime neighbors. This is exactly the kind of government mail that can accidentally end up in the recycling bin.

One more thought for South Jersey homeowners...

If rising property taxes have you wondering whether it might be time to sell, downsize or move, I would be happy to tell you what your home is worth in today's market.

I have spent 31 years helping South Jersey homeowners sell, buy, downsize, relocate and handle estate home sales throughout Camden, Burlington and Gloucester Counties.

Thinking about selling?

Message me your town and neighborhood and I'll help you start with the most important number: what your home may be worth today.

Know someone who is thinking about selling or has an estate property to sell? I would truly appreciate the referral.
