Explore Maple Shade
Maple Shade is a welcoming Burlington County community known for its small town feel, convenient location, and motto, "Nice Town, Friendly People." Housing includes condominiums, ranchers, Cape Cods, bungalows, and traditional single family homes, with much of the housing stock dating from the 1920s through the 1960s. Buyers are often drawn to Maple Shade because it can offer more affordable options than some neighboring towns while still providing easy access to Philadelphia, Route 38, Route 73, Route 295, and New Jersey Turnpike Exit 4. Woodcrest PATCO in nearby Cherry Hill also provides convenient train service into Philadelphia.
One of Maple Shade's most appealing features is its strong sense of community. Main Street and Forklanding Road are home to everyday conveniences including Wawa, ACME, the post office, local bakeries, coffee shops, and neighborhood restaurants. BJ's Wholesale Club and additional shopping along Routes 38 and 73 are also close by. Maple Shade has its own public school district serving students from elementary school through high school, along with local parks, recreation programs, and seasonal community events. After 31 years in South Jersey real estate, one thing I have noticed about Maple Shade is how many people who grew up here choose to stay, return, or buy homes close to family. It is a community with deep roots, convenient commuting, and a true hometown atmosphere.
